It's no secret that a good contractor is hard to find.
It's also no secret that the profitability of any rehab can be directly correlated to the contractor.
So, hiring a dependable contractor is not only critical, but also essential to the success of any flip.
Whether it’s a light rehab for a significant full house flip, a good contractor is what you need to make the project profitable.
14 Simple Strategies
To help solve this issue, I have put together these 14 strategies that myself, my coaches and faculty use on a regular basis to help find quality contractors.
Check out the video.
- Home Depot and Lowe’s Contractor Desk
- Real Estate Investors Association
- Drive Around Looking for Contractors
- Fundamentalist Groups
- Your Local Building Department
- Advertising on Craigslist
- Material Supply Houses
- Builders
- Realtors
- NARI.org
- Your Local Home Builders Association
- Call Posted Contractor Signs
- Angie’s List

BONUS: Social Media
Another great resource to find quality contractors is Facebook. Everyone owns a home and has things that needed to be updated or fixed. Just put a post on your page that says you just bought a house you are looking to renovate and you are looking for good quality contractors.
Your social network is so ready to make recommendations and let you know who has done good (or bad!) work for them.
